The night also marked the celebration of KOOKAÏ’s 25 th year in Australia and the official announcement of our acquisition of the global KOOKAÏ brand, inclusive of over 160 boutiques across Europe and a second head office in Paris.Īmongst an Italian-inspired café setting, our ambassador for the evening – Jessica Kahawaty – lead a bevy of models, including Sarah Tilleke and Amy Pejkovic, as they showcased over 80 of our favourite, Spring/Summer looks. As the vibrant colors and creative designs graced the runway against the backdrop of Ladakh's awe-inspiring vistas, it became evident that this fashion event was more than just a show it was a celebration of diversity, culture, and the enduring allure of fashion. The show aimed to draw attention to Ladakh as not only a fashion destination but also a hub for sustainable and responsible tourism, where visitors can immerse themselves in the rich culture and breathtaking scenery. In addition to showcasing fashion's finest, the Ladakh International Fashion Show celebrated the natural beauty of the region. The show aimed to symbolize and promote India's rich cultural heritage, encapsulated in the ancient Sanskrit adage, 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' – the world is one family. Alongside these global fashion icons, two Ladakhi models took to the runway, adding a touch of local flair to the event. Organized by the Ladakh administration and the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, this groundbreaking fashion extravaganza featured international models representing 14 different countries. The Ladakh International Fashion Show, a highlight of the Vibrant Ladakh festival, showcased not only the latest in fashion but also celebrated the vibrant cultural tapestry of the region.
